THREE.WebGLRenderer.toneMapping defaults to NoToneMapping (0) and toneMappingExposure defaults to 1.0, omitting tone mapping macros from shader compilation unless an active mode is set and the material enables toneMapped.
Three.js exports eight tone mapping constants: NoToneMapping (0), LinearToneMapping (1), ReinhardToneMapping (2), CineonToneMapping (3), ACESFilmicToneMapping (4), CustomToneMapping (5), AgXToneMapping (6), and NeutralToneMapping (7).
Assigning renderer.toneMapping updates the property and injects #define TONE_MAPPING and the corresponding GLSL function into fragment shaders compiled for toneMapped materials.
Setting material.toneMapped to false suppresses tone mapping in the compiled shader even when renderer.toneMapping is configured to an active mode.
