Commonly assumed
WebGLRenderer accepts WebGLRenderingContext instances with backwards compatibility fallback and allows coordinateSystem reconfiguration.
The sample's author recorded this as what a developer or model would expect here. The contract below is what actually ran.
Contract
- WebGLRenderer throws an explicit error when initialized with a WebGLRenderingContext (WebGL 1), requires WebGL 2, and exposes a read-only coordinateSystem returning WebGLCoordinateSystem (2000).
- outputColorSpace defaults to SRGBColorSpace ('srgb') and setting it synchronizes drawingBufferColorSpace and unpackColorSpace on the underlying WebGL context.
- reversedDepthBuffer requires the EXT_clip_control extension to activate, invoking clipControlEXT and otherwise falling back to false on capabilities.
- getClearAlpha() defaults to 0 when alpha is enabled in renderer parameters or WebGL context attributes, and defaults to 1 when alpha is disabled.
- setPixelRatio scales canvas physical dimensions and getDrawingBufferSize by the ratio while getSize reports logical dimensions and setSize updates style properties.
