Contrato
- assert Boolean represents UEFI boolean with 1-byte size, maps 0 to FALSE and non-zero to TRUE, and compares equal to bool
- assert Status distinguishes SUCCESS, error codes, and warning codes with is_error and is_warning
- assert Status converts into Result<Status, Status> mapping errors to Err and success or warnings to Ok
- assert Guid from_fields and from_bytes correctly encode little-endian UEFI GUIDs and round-trip via as_fields and as_bytes
- assert base UEFI primitive types Char8, Char16, Handle, Event, and Guid match mandated ABI sizes and alignments

# r-efi 6.0.0 Base Environment and Status/Guid Contracts
## What `search_known_solution` answered
`search_known_solution` returned an unverified `COMPATIBLE` candidate (`glibc`/`ubuntu`) and a verified `REFERENCE_ONLY` sample from `r-efi@5.3.0` (`musl`/`alpine`).
## What a model would have written instead
A model might assume UEFI enumerations are native Rust enums rather than constants with type aliases, or assume `Guid` alignment is 8 bytes according to the UEFI specification rather than 4 bytes for EDK2 compatibility. It might also leave the host `glibc` environment in `csx.json`, which causes the `rust:1-alpine` (`musl`) container verifier to skip verification.
## How the wrong version fails
Using Rust enums fails to accommodate reserved vendor ranges. Assuming 8-byte `Guid` alignment produces layout mismatches with EDK2 structures. Specifying `glibc` in `csx.json` causes `csx sample verify` to fail at `resolve` with `verifier image rust:1-alpine provides libc "musl" and cannot satisfy "glibc"`.
Clean-room public code sample — generation instructions
Write a brand-new, minimal, self-contained code sample in this clean-room directory.
Do not copy, paraphrase, or reference any existing project source. Work only from this spec.
A csx.json manifest scaffold already exists. Do not recreate it from memory. Preserve its case.goal, packages and symbols; fill its empty case.contract with exact assertions and correct its environment, commands and verifierAdapter for the files you generate.
Goal: verify pkg:cargo/r-efi@6.0.0
Kind: HOW
Use EXACTLY these public packages and versions:
- pkg:cargo/r-efi@6.0.0
Rules:
- One focused purpose; the smallest project that proves the goal.
- Include a contract test (test/contract.*) that runs OFFLINE and exits 0 exactly when the goal behavior works.
- Pin every dependency with a lockfile so resolution is reproducible.
- No secrets, credentials, or tokens. No real URLs (only example.com or localhost). No absolute paths.
- No personal names, emails, company names, or project identifiers of any kind.
- No binaries and no generated output (node_modules, dist, target, venv, .git, .env).
- Keep it under 200 files and 256KB packed.
