- A processAllTokens hook that mutates tokens in-place without returning them causes Marked.parse to throw a TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'length'), whereas explicitly returning the modified token array permits successful rendering.
- Returning the modified token array from processAllTokens applies token modifications to the rendered HTML output.
