HOW- Goal
- verify pkg:golang/github.com/google/uuid@v1.6.0
- Packages
- Symbols
-
- github.com/google/uuid.NewRandomFromReader
- github.com/google/uuid.SetRand
- Created
- 2026-08-18T22:37:30Z
Contract
- uuid.NewRandomFromReader reads 16 bytes from reader and returns a Version 4 RFC4122 UUID
- uuid.NewRandomFromReader returns an error when the reader fails or returns insufficient bytes
- uuid.NewRandomFromReader generates deterministic UUIDs when given identical byte streams
- uuid.SetRand replaces the random source used by uuid.NewRandom and uuid.NewString
- uuid.SetRand with nil resets the random source to default crypto/rand
