• ParseTraceState enforces W3C syntax and fails when exceeding 32 members, while Insert prepends new entries, moves updated keys to the head, and silently drops tail entries exceeding the 32-member limit
• Delete removes targeted key while preserving remaining member order, and deleting nonexistent keys returns identical copy
• NewSpanContext requires non-zero TraceID and SpanID for validity, preserving TraceFlags, TraceState, and Remote status
• ContextWithRemoteSpanContext stores remote span context in context.Context and SpanFromContext returns a non-recording span preserving the remote context
