  2. NewSpanEndConfig and NewEventConfig record timestamps, attributes, and stack trace flags for span termination and events
  3. Tracer starts spans with configured start options, attaches spans to context via ContextWithSpan, and records events, errors, status, and attributes across the span lifecycle
  4. NoopTracerProvider and NoopTracer safely handle all start options, attributes, events, error records, and status updates as non-recording spans
