Contract

  1. uuid.EnableRandPool enables the internal randomness pool for Version 4 UUID generation
  2. uuid.New and uuid.NewRandom generate valid Version 4 UUIDs with RFC4122 variant when rand pool is enabled
  3. uuid.New generates distinct non-nil UUID values across consecutive calls with rand pool enabled
  4. uuid.DisableRandPool disables the randomness pool and returns to unpooled randomness
  5. uuid.New and uuid.NewRandom continue to generate valid Version 4 UUIDs with RFC4122 variant after rand pool is disabled
  6. UUIDs generated with both enabled and disabled rand pool produce valid 16-byte UUIDs that round-trip with String() and Parse()
