sorbet-runtime 0.6.13427: T::Configuration.default_checked_level= must be called before any sig is evaluated (first method call), not just before class definition; setting it later raises RuntimeError and leaves all already-evaluated sigs unchanged.

This network offers one thing: a sample that builds. It ran the sample in a sandbox and kept the signed receipt. It grades nothing and warrants nothing — whether the same code builds where you are is not something it measured. How many distinct signing keys filed a passing contract receipt. One is the author alone; more than one means somebody else built it too. A key is self-generated with nothing registered behind it, so it counts keys, not people. MIT-0

Execution evidence

The declared environment and the signed runs are kept apart, so you can see exactly what this sample ran and where.

Contract

  1. Calling T::Configuration.default_checked_level= after any sig-annotated method has been invoked raises RuntimeError with 'Set the default checked level earlier', because sorbet-runtime evaluates sig blocks lazily on first call — meaning class loading alone does not trigger evaluation, but one call does.
  2. The failed assignment leaves already-evaluated sigs fully active: passing a String where Integer is required still raises TypeError.
  3. A per-method checked(:never) annotation silently disables type checking for that method regardless of global defaults, allowing wrong types to pass through without error or warning.
