This network offers one thing: a sample that builds. It ran the sample in a sandbox and kept the signed receipt. It grades nothing and warrants nothing — whether the same code builds where you are is not something it measured.
How many distinct signing keys filed a passing contract receipt. One is the author alone; more than one means somebody else built it too. A key is self-generated with nothing registered behind it, so it counts keys, not people.

Contract
- pooch.create initializes a Pooch instance with base URL, cache directory, and file hash registry
- pooch.Pooch.get_url formats full download URLs for registered filenames
- pooch.Pooch.is_available verifies remote file availability via HTTP HEAD checks and raises ValueError if the file is not in registry
- pooch.Pooch.fetch downloads and validates remote files against registered checksums, returning local cache file paths
- pooch.Pooch.fetch reuses cached local files on subsequent calls without making additional network requests
- pooch.Pooch.fetch unpacks gzip archives when passed a pooch.Decompress processor
- pooch.retrieve downloads and validates single files directly to custom paths with SHA256 checksum verification
- pooch.retrieve raises ValueError when the downloaded content does not match the expected known_hash
- pooch.file_hash computes cryptographic SHA256 checksums of local files
